Wearing Stupid Clothes Makes it Easier to Act Stupid
Yesterday, while in practice for the school play "Fools," I discovered rolling up your pants past your ankles and wearing a stupid looking small blue jacket can help you get into character much easier.
Another thing I learned recently was that responding (instead of just reading) your lines makes it much easier to not only memorize your lines, but the whole scene appears more natural.

Punk!...
Criminal!...
Why do these words always slip out of peoples mouths & cross peoples minds when skateboarding is brought up?
Why do I get kicked out of parks for simply expressing myself… *loud whisper* with my feet!
A harmless form of physical expression, viewed almost as a crime to some.
A sport that couldn't hurt ANYONE… well-unless I were to like 360 shove it and land on my tailbone breaking my spine-but I digress!
…Some people say skateboarding isn't even a sport.
Well to them I say, skateboarding isn't ONLY a sport...
Skateboarding is an ART!!!
But why don't people see it that way..?
WHY when I coast through the streets of Lima on my board, I'm stereotyped as some punk?!
And WHY when I practice complex flips and spins for hours on end, I'm seen as someone who is guilty of some kind of trouble?!
Hah..
I'll show em' trouble…
I'll boardslide their hand railings.
I'll powerslide on their front porch.
I'll pressure flip into their garden!
I'll throw my skateboard at their car door!!
I'll smash their windows with my skateboards trucks!!!-
AND THEN… they'll realize, that skateboarding… is an ART.
Explanation:
At the end, I am aware I made this character contradict himself. I did this because it's part of the message. In my experiences, most people look poorly upon skateboarders and think they're all 'hoodlums.' I find anyone who starts skateboarding and becomes more immersed in the culture seems to end up doing hoodlum-type things, because a big chunk of society EXPECTS them to.
